Giles Deacon concept

Since making one of Giles' dresses I have been interested in looking at his work which has linked perfectly with the researching designers task. His latest A/W 13 collection was inspired by Black Adder, yes my exact reaction what on earth is Black Adder???

Well heres your answer, Black Adder is an old BBC 1 sitcom which each series was based in a different time periods. Looking through Deacons collection you can really see this inspiration coming through as theres lots of over sized puff sleeves, tight bodices and flowing silk dresses which show different eras of fashion.

This Is Not A Swan

I came across this photo shoot and I really fell in love with it! I love the way the illustration and collage is used with it. The photographer is Marc Hibbert and the styling is done by Mariner German. I think its very upbeat and fun, its very contemporary which I like. I am going to use this as inspiration for my shoot for my Giles Deacon dress.

LONDON FASHION WEEK

LONDON FASHION WEEK WAS MY FAVOURITE PART OF THE TRIP!!!! There was so much going on I seen so many inspirational people and It allowed me to se what it was like in the Fashion world and I loved IT! I would do it all again tomorrow if I could and everyday for the rest of my life!... Right Meg compose yourself.
