Styling a story

Over the last week I have be assigned a new brief and its all to do with styling! So far I'm really enjoying it and last week got given our first practical task.

In pairs we have to follow a theme and target audience to style  our own fashion story.

A Tank magazine cover
My theme is vintage and my target magazine audience is the magazine Tank. Before starting the research for this task I had never heard or even seen a Tank magazine before, so me and my partner were pretty worried at first but now Im glad we got given this magazine as I like a good old challenge. It allows me to see and learn about new things(nerdy I know), also I can safely say in the future I will definitely pick up a Tank magazine and give it a read! They are very interesting and cover a lot of media subjects through out. The photography in it as well is a-maze.

Vintage clothing

My shoot is taking place on tuesday and we have arrange for one of my friends to model for us as I feel she has the right look for a vintage theme. Also I have been in contact with my local vintage shop and they have agreed to let me use some of there clothes which I'm very excited about and extremely privileged to be able to do so.

we are considering using Lana Del Rey as
inspiration
for out make up look
So the rest for the week I am going to be trailing make up and hair looks with my partner to see what we prefer and suits the target market best all in preparation for tuesday! Also coming up with ideas for outfits and settings as well, so its all busy busy busy....

Ill post some pictures of the looks we have created tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled and I will post my final out comes as well next week, so for now ill love you and leave you with my brief little update.
