Greenwich

Sunday was more of shopping free day, this was the only day my cousin and I both didn't have any plans so we decided we would turn all christmasy and go to the christmas markets and ice skating! We headed down to The Tower Of London where they have an ice rink (they seem to have them spotted about everywhere in London at the moment). It was so much fun and I must say I am defiantly a pro, neither of us fell over once which we were pretty much made up with in all honesty. The setting was just incredible with the Tower and the Shard in the background, we felt so christmasy especially as they were planning jingle bells! We finished off nicely with a good old hot chocolate. Later on we decided to head down to Greenwich where we went last time I visited but because of the Olympics everywhere was shut so I never got to see everything, but WOW Greenwich park is so god damn pretty and the view point left me gob smacked, I really didn't know London could look so pretty. It's seriously like a new place up there. I love London so much! And I am determined will live there one day and I do hope I can go to Uni there because theres so much to explore and do whilst it being so inspirational at the same time.

Painting shoot

Egon Schiele- The Dancer Moa

Painting I found at the National Portrait Gallery

For the final fashion shoot on our briefs we have to find a historical painting and recreate it using a model and the styling techniques we have learnt from our previous experience. I couldn't choose which images I had found suited me best and I found it so hard to choose for 2 reasons, 1 being there all so different and 2 being I cant make decisions to save my life haha. After getting other peoples opinions I was still no closer to my decisions so I went for the most creative and I figured that Egon Schiele' Dancer Moa was the right one for me as I would have to create the whole outfit from scratch as there is know chance of me walking into any charity shop to find the exact same garment there sitting waiting for me.... (in my dreams maybe!).

Today we met with the photographs that we will be working with because for this shoot we have to work with 2nd year photography students which I'm really exited about as the two girls I have been placed with seem really nice and like/understand the painting I have chosen. During our conversation we discussed the background, lighting and the model all of which are sorted out which leaves me making the garment and planning the make up and hair. I feel like I'm in such as rush but I know I have enough time as my shoot is taking place on Tuesday (arrrrrr its 6 days away). Anyway Ill keep you updated, wish me luck

Regent Street

Yes i went to the Victoria Secrets Shop- New Bond Street

Illustration in H&M Regent Street

Day 2- (I'm so tempted to write in the big brother house... no meg serious now) Well it poured down all day long, you could even say the heavens opens over Britain! And to top it all off my plans got scrapped (the moral of the story this weekend was BOYS ARE A WASTE OF TIME). So I headed down to the National Portrait Museum as I thought it would be a great help for my next project and actually it was, it isn't my normal gallery of choice but I did enjoy it.. Not as much as the V&A though but nothing will beat that. After spending a good couple of hours in there I hit Oxford Street which is where I like to call heaven. Yes, I spent nearly all my wages on clothes I don't necessarily need, but who cares?!?!?!?! I couldn't stop myself from going to the new Victoria Secrets shop on New Bond Street, it hasn't been open long and with all the hype about their show (9 days to go!) I felt I couldn't not.

Oh my god, I cant put it into words, everything in there is just amazing from the window dressing to the mannequin's inside to the bras to the perfume! YOU HAVE TO SEE FOR YOURSELF TO UNDERSTNAD ME. My mum came out with the quote 'there probably the most expensive knickers you'll ever own' which is probably true but I can just pretend Im a VS Angel for the day so thats all that counts haha.

Then came Regent Street and I was just minding my own business until I noticed the illustration on the wall around me (I don't know how I missed it at first but hey ho) I recognised it from my previous work and I just couldn't put my name on it until I re read my notes the other night and its Lovisa Burfitt! Any way after that I just spent hours in Topshop then we treated ourselves to a KFC and X Factor for our Saturday night in front of the Tv.

Oh Stella- British Fashion Awards

Last night at the British Fashion Design Awards Stella McCartney took home two awards! Theres not surprise there either as this year has probably been her most successful in all her career. The awards she took home were Designer of the Year and Designer Brand of the Year. After the beautiful job she did for the Olympics there no wonder she won them both.Oh how she's an inspiration... Well done Stella.

On my trip to London this weekend I visited the V&A, I completely fell in love with the place, the dresses, the art and the building. Its all just amazing! I spent nearly all of friday walking around looking at the amazing pieces of art they have there, I even checked out the Ball gowns and Hollywood costume expeditions which are defiantly worth the money. I can only say that the Victoria and Albert museum is one of my favourite places of all time. After finishing there I went for a lovely meal in China Town, I had never been to China Town before and I was really surprised! The atmosphere around there is like being on holiday it's such a cool place and theres amazing food everywhere.
