I chose J.W.Anderson purely because I had seen his new collaboration with Topshop, I had no idea about him until it came to researching. I found out an awful lot of interesting things about him like he was originally studying Drama at Washington DC, his first collection at LFW was in 2007 and was influenced by real insects in jewellery and so on. I also looked into the different medias he uses in his illustrations and the way he draws and where he gets his inspiration from.

I set my work out in a powerpoint and had a number of different slides which included a video as well. I found an excuse from doing this presentation to buy a piece from the Topshop X J.W.Anderson collection, I really really wanted to get the Bat Jumper but it seems to be out of stock constantly so I'm still on the hunt for it which meant I had to settle with the Tortoise Print Skirt which is still just as nice!

I found him very interesting and I would like to maybe look into him further looking at other things.

Inspiration for my powerpoint in my sketch book |
I think my overall presentation went well and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! (drama queen here) I feel like I delivered it well and I managed to keep the audience interested for 10 minutes when it really only needed to be 5 minutes long so I'm really pleased with that. My peers also gave me some feed back which the majority said I spoke clearly, it was very informative, good use of imagery, confident and enthusiastic and they liked me skirt (bonus). They also gave me some weaknesses and they said that I could have made better eye contact with all of the class as I seemed to only do it with one side which I did notice after I had finished, they also said I need to keep the volume of my voice cons tasted as I drifted in parts, I think this was down to nerves.
I think if I was to do another presentation I would be much more confident about what I was doing and I would take into account the feed back I've been given.
